Fusion Glassworks is now offering custom laminated glass
With the recent installation of a laminating oven,
we are now able to offer custom glass lamination. While glass
lamination has historically been used just for safety purposes, the number
of other options is also worthy of mention.
Laminating Glass - Double Your Options
Mix glass textures, colors or add a pattern by
laminating. Fusion Glassworks can use our new laminating
machine to combine two types of glass into a single sheet, for
your special needs.
We can laminate any two sheets of glass (as long
as the texture is not too rough). The possibilities are as
numerous as the combinations:

Combine Low E energy saving glass with a nice
obscure textured glass and get privacy while you save on
cooling costs.

Add a nice colored glass to a tempered safety
glass for a unique window.

Choose from one of our textured and colored
laminate films and combine it with your favorite textured
glass

many, many more. Hundreds of combinations.
The Glass Options
Any of our flat glass can be used to laminate
(assuming that one side is smooth enough to get a good bond. We
will be adding samples to view as the year progresses.
In addition to the visual effects gained by
combining textured and colored glasses, we also have laminate
films that replicate wood veneers, marbles, fabrics and geometric
designs. Also, we are experimenting with a wide variety of printed
materials, and we expect great results.
Digitally Printed Images in Glass
With the current quality of digital printing being
so high, it is a natural next step to incorporate these images
into a glass laminate. Suddenly a door or window is more than just
colorful glass, it can also include images of people or logos,
outdoor scenes or waterfalls. The range is limited only by your
imagination.
We are currently working on laminating seamless
digital images up to 54" wide and up to 100" tall in
glass. Imagine a shower door with a full-size, full-color image of
Marilyn Monroe in it! Or John Wayne, if that's your preference -
since every piece is custom, every piece is unique.
Wood Veneer in Glass
One of the most exciting products we can make is a
glass laminate that incorporates real wood veneer. The
final result is breath-taking, and must be seen to be believed. An
ideal and attractive idea for countertops or tables. Combine
it with Starphire high clarity glass
for best results.
Our Standard Line Of Laminated Glass
We are also proud to introduce our new laminated glass
line. These standardized combinations of clear float glass and architectural
textured glasses will add value to any project.
- Production time for most orders is 3 working days
- Please add 1 day for fabrication work ie; edging, beveling,
holes or cutouts
- If specific thickness is required, please advise
